Just keeps getting better!
I bought the original version a few years ago and it was a game changer! I've charged it like all of 3 times because the battery life is so long. I chose to buy a few more this year for gifts and to have a back up because I lose stuff - the new look is nice and sleek and the addition of the light is a fun touch.

Love!
Since I have loved and gifted many of the original lighter, I had to check out the motli. One big difference is that you need to turn this on first. Once you do, the arc is wider and the tip seems to remain cleaner. I could take or leave the flashlight but it’s a nice touch. Seems to work just as well as original but love the look of the motli better and that it stands on its own.

Excellent lighter
This model has longer lasting battery life than the portables. It makes it much more pleasant to use because you have to charge less often. Is also quite a bit quieter. This one does not scare my cats thanks to that. Comes in beautiful colors that match the photos.

Nice lighter
The lighter was very easy to use and is great for someone like me who is afraid having my hand so close to the flame. I got the motli design because I preferred the style more. It's very lightweight and would recommend to others. It kind of makes me feel like a wizard because it looks like a wand. Just a little disappointed that it wasn't a type-c charger.

Just in Time for Candle Season!!!
I ordered a Motli light for me and one as a gift for my mom, and they are GREAT!! I love the safety features, they’re easy to use and last a long time between charges, and are so beautiful. Anything we can do to use resources more efficiently and reduce unnecessary waste is important, but also a no-brainer since this product far exceeds my Bic wand lighter. :D

Happy Dance!
I’m so happy these are being made. I haven’t had them for long but so far I think they are very cool. When taking them out of the box they do seem big but much prettier than a regular lighter and you don’t have to refill. I’m also happy I bought a few extra for gifts!!

Fantastic Light/Lighter

We love the lighters
As advertised, these lighters are not only cool, but effective. We got one for lighting candles, and one for lighting other stuff. Both work great. The charge holds, and we don't need to buy any disposable lighters again.

Recipients were fascinated and excited!
I bought 4 of the Motli lighters in black as Christmas gifts for the guys in my family, two of whom live out of town. I wanted to wait until I heard back from everyone before I wrote this review, so I could provide honest feedback. My brother-in-law and father opened the gifts in my presence so I was able to see their reaction. I thought for sure my brother-in-law would have already heard about this type of product, but he was utterly clueless. It was fun watching him and the kids try to figure out what it was and how it worked. Once my Dad opened his, everyone wanted to run around the house, lighting things! The only slight drawback is the lighters make a high-pitched sound that made my 11 year old niece clap her hands over her ears. The rest of us either couldn't hear it at all, or weren't bothered by it if we could. My two cousins are both outdoorsmen, and one of them is ex-military; I thought for sure they would have already owned a few of these gadgets. But both of them were excited enough about the product to call and let me know how cool they thought it was. And they were able to immediately put it to use on a windy day to light the BBQ! Now that I know how effective these are I am going to order one for me. :) Oh, another drawback was that it wasn't immediately apparent on how to turn off the flashlight when it was accidentally turned on. But they eventually figured it out (probably read the directions! :D). I think they were having trouble lighting the lighter without accidentally turning on the flashlight as well, due to the location of the buttons. I'm hoping they can train themselves to get better at it. I can't speak to the durability of the item at this point but out of the box they had the desired effect, which was to quickly and safely provide a way to light the fireplace and candles and BBQs and the firepit, and hopefully they will continue to charge and hold their charges for years to come.

Love these lighters!
I bought one for myself initially. Once I started using it and saw how great it was I ordered several for Christmas presents. I love the fact they stand alone so don't take up much space. The colors are great too and everyone I have given them too love them as much as me!
